NUESTRA HISTORIA
Amigos y amigos Música
Agave. Water. Music. Time.™
Música Tequila is crafted in Jalisco, Mexico from 100% Blue Weber agave, water, generations of tequila-making experience, and something uniquely Música: the use of music throughout our process.
From agave selection and cooking to fermentation, distillation, aging and bottling, every step is approached with purpose and care.
The First Music Driven Tequila House

1. Agave
Música begins with 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from the Zona Valles region of Amatitán, Jalisco, México, where mineral-rich volcanic soil known as tierra negra helps shape the character of the agave.
The agave plants mature for approximately 8–10 years before harvest.
The Música Quality Difference
Our Blue Weber agaves come from a 40-year cooperative of growers, built on relationships, trust and history.
Mature agaves are hand selected at peak ripeness and harvested when they are ready for the next step in their journey.

2. Cooking
Mature agave piñas are delivered to the distillery and cut before entering the ovens.
We use low-pressure, high-temperature autoclave ovens to cook the agave, transforming its natural sugars and preparing the piñas for juice extraction.
The Música Quality Difference
Our agave is cooked in small batches.
After cooking, we allow the agave additional time to rest before moving it to the roller mill for juice extraction.
At Música, time isn't something we rush. It's part of the process.

3. Crushing & Fermentation
After cooking, the agave is crushed using a five-stage roller mill to extract its juices.
The agave juice, or aguamiel, is then transferred to open-air stainless-steel fermentation tanks, where fermentation begins with naturally occurring airborne yeast from the environment in Jalisco.
The Música Quality Difference
Our open-air fermentation relies on natural environmental yeast and takes time to develop. This process contributes to the character and layers of flavor found in Música Tequila.
And this is where music becomes part of the process. The Música audio infusion system — inspired by the Mozart Effect — is used during fermentation to move and inspire the liquid early in its journey. Speakers are positioned over the fermentation tanks.

4. Distillation
Following fermentation, Música is craft distilled in small batches using stainless-steel pot stills.
The tequila is distilled twice under the watchful eye of our Master Tequilero, Hugo Yerenas.
The Música Quality Difference
Water from the distillery's deep well plays an important role in our tequila-making process.
During distillation, the original agave juices, or wort, are circulated through steel and copper alembics as the spirit is refined.
It's a combination of traditional tequila-making knowledge, careful craftsmanship and patience.

5. Aging
For our aged expressions, barrel selection is an important part of creating the final character of the tequila.
Música uses carefully selected barrels, including American oak and ex-Bourbon barrels, along with other distinctive barrels for select expressions.
The Música Quality Difference
Barrels are used a limited number of times to preserve meaningful interaction between the wood and tequila.
The Música audio infusion system is also used during aging, with speakers positioned in the aging rooms and, for select Reserva Limited Editions, mounted near individual barrels.
Curated Música playlists accompany the tequila as it rests and matures.
Wood. Tequila. Music. And most importantly, time.

6. Bottling
When the tequila is ready, Música is bottled on site with care to preserve the character and flavor developed throughout the process.
From the agave fields of Jalisco to the final bottle, each step reflects the philosophy behind Música Tequila:
